Weary travelers headed home.
Except we’re really not all that weary. I feel quite refreshed after this few day vacation to Georgia. We got to spend the past few days with Travis’s family here and it has been, as I believe most if not all vacations should be, really relaxing and a nice getaway from our usual routines. What a great time to step back and isolate ourselves away from the things we easily get caught up in.
I had a good feeling about this Thanksgiving beforehand, and now I’m really greatful to have had this chance to spend it immersed in great fellowship. It’s been an uplifting escape from the unimportant things that so easily captivate my time. It’s helped me to realize (especially being away from the computer) that there is a definite need for balance and proper prioritizing. In order to do so, moments like these past few days where I can regain a different perspective of what’s truly important in this vapor of life are necessary.
I pray everyone had a blessed holiday and were able to spend it in love and appreciation for all that we take for granted year round. Such as relationships, which can so quickly be taken from us without a moment’s notice. I hope that getting back home we can hold to this regained peace and let it help better our normal every day activities.
Until we’re home…
