Back to our slice of heaven.
I’m sitting around waiting for our summer clothes to finish drying and Travis has gone to get his hair cut off again. We’ve done basically everything we can at home but we still have a few errands to run outside. Last minute things and double checks.
We’re headed back to Costa tomorrow morning. It feels like deja vu. Except this time we’re excited to go because we already know what awaits us, or have an idea at least. We’re sad a lot of elements from our first trip will be only memories now, but there are still so many things unknown to keep us on our toes.
We had intended on only staying in Florida for a week but we got sick right before we were supposed to leave and realized we needed time to recuperate. So our stay has been two weeks now and the entire last week of it has been 95% sick, medicated, and laying around the house. We weren’t able to do much so we had the chance to see some people but missed out on extra time or time with other people.
All in all, we’ve had a wonderful time being home! Spending special time with both of our families has been much needed and it now makes it hard to leave them again. I know it won’t be long before we’re back again, but I hate being so far away from them and missing out on anything that might happen. But these are the choices we make, this is where it comes down to listening to your heart.
… and after a very enlightening first three months, my heart is screaming for us to go back. I pray that this trip won’t be a let down because the first one was such a success. But I’ve learned that the will of God will not take you where the grace of God will not protect you. I know that more great things are in store for us, and for all of us so long as we are true to ourselves, discover, and follow our purpose.
Our plan is to do more exploration (and scuba diving!) on this go-round. Back to The Land of Pura Vida!
