While many northern regions

are experiencing extreme cold, we are experiencing extreme heat. And each day is only getting hotter. I guess I’d rather be hot than cold, but it’s unfortunate when our little house with a tin roof is like a broiler midday. 

Regardless, I’ll keep working on my tan because it won’t be long before we’re home. We payed our last two weeks of rent and are leaving for Panama on the 20th. Not sure many other details to follow that, but after all the sweating I’ll be ready for some spring weather back home. 

Yesterday had an odd energy to it and things felt off, but today has been amazing. We laid in some hammocks on the beach under the shade of big palms and watched a herd of whales possibly mating. It was a really beautiful sight. 

I don’t know if anyone has ever read “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” series, but I just finished the second book and couldn’t put it down. I’m dying for the third, but don’t know how to get my hands on it down here. Unfortunate, I need a good read for a long bus ride down south.
